If you’re ready to get back into regular exercise after a break from the gym, what better way than to challenge yourself to meet an athletic goal? Start training now for the Y Turkey Trot Charity 5K Arnold<\/a><\/a> on Thanksgiving morning! Not only will you get your exercise in training for the race, your registration fee also includes a one-month membership to the local YMCA, so you’ll be able to keep up your fitness routine even after race day.
\nThat complimentary membership will also be extended to those in need thanks to the Y Turkey Trot. Its main purpose is to raise money for the Y Open Doors Fund, when ensures everyone has access to the YMCA and its many programs despite their income. Registering for the race means you’re a part of that mission, and it’s a fitting way to give back on Thanksgiving. Sign up for the in-person race if you’re comfortable coming out to The Y in Arnold with your fellow runners on Thanksgiving morning, when the race kicks off at 8:30 a.m. If you’d prefer to run solo, register for the virtual option and complete the 5K on the day and at the location of your choosing (as long as it’s before the in-person race ends).
