Anyone who loves live music won’t want to miss the annual Lake Arbor Jazz Festival! It’s returning to the Lake Arbor Community Center on Saturday, July 16th with a lineup of high-caliber entertainers from the D.C. region and beyond, and tickets start at just $75.
The Lake Arbor Jazz Festival will celebrate its 12th birthday this year, bringing back a roster of renowned musicians to the local stage. Among them are Down to the Bone and Eric Darius, singer Karen Linette, and Nathan Mitchell, to name just a few. But the headliners on Saturday evening will be soul-funk band WAR. Catch their sets in between visits to the 50-plus vendors slated to attend. Many of them will be selling hot food and sweet bites, while some deal in music-oriented merchandise. If you want to grab a drink, head to the beer and wine lounge for a pint or a glass. Note that the cost of a general admission ticket includes parking and lawn seating, so pack a lawn chair or a blanket. While some tickets will be available at the door, the price will increase to $95 if you wait to purchase them on-site.
